Fit Friday - Kale Recipes

Happy Friday to all my fellow bloggers!

I hope you have loads of fun filled plans for this weekend or if it’s one of those weekends where you are just going to relax, that’s cool too.  Either way, I know I am going to have a blast with my brother doing all the things we love to do.


I am going to share a healthy food choice for you today! It’s all about:  Kale
I have never cooked kale in my life until two evenings ago. My husband and I were making shrimp and crab cakes for dinner and I had the bright idea to try to figure out how to make some kale to go with it.

It just sounded like the right thing to do.

I added 1 cup of chicken broth and 4 cups of kale to a pan and sprinkled salt and pepper over the top.
Then I just sautéed it for about 10 to 15 minutes on med. heat… man was it yummy! It tasted so fresh and divine.
This is a winner and I will definitely do it again… and again… and again.

I had followed a recipe earlier that evening and made us a kale smoothie with:
1 cup of kale
½ cup of parsley
1 Banana
1 Granny Smith apple
2 ¼ cups of water
This too was delicious and refreshing. Very refreshing, I might add. It just made me feel so healthy.
